Janssen Connected Care Challenge seeks transformational transition care ideas and offers awards totaling $250,000 to develop winning solutions
WASHINGTON D.C., January 26, 2012—Today Janssen Healthcare Innovation , a team within Janssen Research & Development, LLC., (Janssen), announced the Janssen Connected Care Challenge at the Health Care Innovations Summit in Washington, D.C. The Janssen Connected Care Challenge calls for technology solutions to improve the coordination of care for patients as they are being discharged from the hospital. Janssen Healthcare Innovation will award a total of $250,000 to support further development of the top three ideas that improve healthcare outcomes.
The challenge finalists will benefit from funding and external expert collaboration while retaining independence and ownership of their business concepts. By working with outside experts, Janssen is able to tap a wider range of expertise, capabilities and resources to bring new advances and solutions in healthcare.

An extraordinary leadership conference takes place Saturday, Oct. 22, the day after the Symposium formally ends on Friday. For those attending the Symposium, this inaugural course costs an extra $300 only (total fee of $1,295). To attend this workshop only, the fee is $400.
We have chosen distinguished faculty from different professions who will bring to light the most important leadership principles in different domains. Our faculty will serve as mentors for the attendees for you, the attendee, a finite period of time after the course via the internet. We also plan to have a number of scholarships for deserving young individuals. Any profit derived from the course will be divided between HMS, Partners and one or two Boston charities.
