Prepare for HIMSS12

I have been attending the HIMSS (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society) annual conference for the past few years. This year, the conference will continue to focus on relevant issues like Meaningful Use, HITECH, HIE, standards, interoperability and more. Last year, I had the opportunity to speak at HIMSS about social media engagement by physicians who are talking about their experiences using EHRs. This year, I'm sure the discussion will continue to focus on the different ways physicians are being challenged by the meaningful use requirements.

This year, HIMSS is going to be in Las Vegas Feb 20-24. If you can't travel to Las Vegas, you can still participate by attending the Virtual HIMSS12 on your computer. Virtual HIMSS12 will be live streaming the four keynote addresses in addition to 12 education sessions during the event, providing on demand access to 12 eLearning Academy education sessions, and offering full access to over 250 live sessions archived in the HIMSS eLearning Academy following the conference.
