HIMSS Announces 2010 Award and Scholarship Recipients

CHICAGO (January 4, 2011) – Recognizing outstanding contributions to HIMSS and the healthcare industry, HIMSS named its 2010 award and scholarship recipients. The HIMSS Foundation and five HIMSS chapters provided 11 scholarships to students enrolled in health IT and management systems degree programs.

“The HIMSS award recipients are individuals and organizations striving to ensure quality and consistent delivery of healthcare with the use of information technology. Congratulations to all of the award and scholarship recipients for their achievement and willingness to share their expertise with HIMSS and throughout the industry,” said JoAnn Klinedinst, CPHIMS, FHIMSS, PMP, Vice President, Professional Development, HIMSS.

Award winners are nominated in four award categories: industry service, HIMSS service, publications and chapters. All award and scholarship recipients will be honored at the HIMSS Awards Banquet on Feb. 22, 2011, from 6:30 – 9 p.m. at the Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, during the 2011 Annual HIMSS Conference & Exhibition.
