Are you going to the Spring Fling?

Author: Thuc Huynh, MD

The 2011 Health 2.0 Spring Fling, that is.
Health 2.0 is the one of the largest health information technology conferences in the US. This year, the conference will be in San Diego, California from March 21 - March 22.

The themes this spring are :

* Making health care cheaper
* The evolution of research
* Prevention, wellness, exercise, and food

But it’s not just about listening to speakers and looking at powerpoint slides; it’s also about networking and learning about the latest technologies.

In addition to the themes, there will also be an area for pre-conference meetings of groups within the Health 2.0 family. These groups include Patients 2.0, Health 2.0 Accelerator, Health 2.0 Developers Code-A-Thon, and Researchers Meet Developers.

Many of the latest health IT products will be showcased at vendor booths throughout the conference. I’ve been to a fall Health 2.0 conference before, thanks to Hello Health, and found it an amazing experience. If you’re interested in staying on top of emerging technology, this is the conference to go to.
