Medicare Payments for Graduate Medical Education: What Every Medical Student, Resident and Advisor Needs to Know

If you're currently in residency training and you're thinking about switching to a different specialty, make sure you read this AAMC publication titled, "Medicare Payments for Graduate Medical Education: What Every Medical Student, Resident and Advisor Needs to Know."

Medicare funds a significant portion of post-graduate training and there is a limit on how much funding a single resident may receive during his or her residency training. If you want to switch from one specialty to another, consider the funding issue that you may face and speak with your program director after you read the AAMC report.
