I am attending the Alliance for CME annual conference in San Francisco. This afternoon, I attended a great session focused around the use of social media in the setting of professional continuing medical education or CME. We are just starting to see some early examples of social media utiliztion among those of us working in the continuing medical education industry. Groups are using Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter to connect with physicians, patients, and educators. These are certainly interesting times as we adopt new communications technologies in the medical education field.
