Michael J. Fox to present keynote at HIMSS11

I'm planning on attending HIMSS 2011 so I can see Michael J. Fox on Thursday, Feburary 24, 2011. Today, while Fox maintains a strong commitment to his acting and writing careers, his primary focus is The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, dedicated to raising awareness and much-needed funding.

The promise of healthcare today requires that healthcare IT leaders are prepared for the many challenges they face. HIMSS11 educational offerings feature industry leaders presenting on a variety of topics designed to provide attendees with the tools and resources they need to effect change in a dynamic industry. To meet the needs of this ever changing industry, HIMSS has added general education topic categories like ARRA and Meaningful Use, Business Intelligence, Health Reform, Human Computer Interface, Interactive Health Communications, and Workforce Development to an already dynamic line-up. And, our pre-conference education offers attendees hands-on learning about various ARRA topics like meaningful use, quality, certification, interoperability, as well as effective strategies for project management, change management, and others.
